In Other News

The Sunday Boston Globe’s sections are scattered across the round kitchen table in my parents home;  My mother, the sensible and practical anchor, poring over the front page on the kitchen island, my dad catching up on sports and business (while admittedly, one eye and arm hovers near his laptop) and myself, chirping up with tidbits of interest from the perspective and pop culture columns in PARADE and the Boston Globe Magazine. This familiar and fantastic Sunday breakfast hour ritual remains,  despite the fact that “my” room upstairs is a glorified guest room or CNN.com has become the more convenient news source.

There’s no place like where everyone knows which section of the newspaper to hand you.  Happy Sunday.
